90 participants attended the Penn State Institutional research Group’s October 24 session on Interesting Uses of Data to Support Student Learning. About half came in person to 508 Rider Building and half via Adobe Connect. The panelists were Anne Hoag, associate professor, Department of Telecommunications, College of Communications; Bart Pursel, undergraduate education and instructional researcher, Schreyer Institute for Teaching Excellence; and Alex Yin, senior planning research associate in the Office of Planning and Institutional Assessment.

The panelists shared information about several data-driven projects that leveraged institutional data sources such as the data warehouse and NSSE results to explore student learning and student outcomes.
