Institutional Research

IRIG (INSTITUTIONAL RESEARCH INTEREST GROUP)
Who We Are

Founded in 2009, the Penn State Institutional Research Interest Group (IRIG) facilitates the sharing of information related to institutional research across the university. The IRIG serves as a platform for the university community to collaborate, coordinate, and communicate the data and analysis resources available at the university.

The IRIG meetings often showcase efforts from various units within the university to generate discussion on best practices and increase collaboration. Meetings include sharing methodology changes in data calculations, changes or updates to data collection policies, how legislation and regulations affect institutional research, data needs of the university community, and novel uses of university data.

If you have any questions about the Interest Group, you can contact Carly Sunseri, director of data science in the Office of Planning, Assessment, and Institutional Research (cjt23@psu.edu) or Jennifer Wu, associate research professor in the College of Engineering (jxw493@psu.edu).
