Last spring, Arts and Architecture undertook a study to better understand how possible changes to the General Education requirements would affect the the college. I am uploading a version of the Access database I used to do my analysis. The queries in the database can be tweaked so they return other Gen Ed course types.
This post is actually my second attempt to share this database. The first attempt ended when I found a flaw that I had to fix and then rewrite the documentation. Priorities within the college changed, and the project sat on the back burner for a while. Fortunately, I recently had the opportunity to finish and put this to bed. Given the lack of easy access to information regarding what students take and the demographics for who is in which course, I hope this database can contribute to the greater good.
Also, I want to shout out a big thank you to Jim Detwiler for showing me how to reduce the number of steps necessary to get the desired information. Thanks Jim!
