After a long development and vetting process, the Association for Institutional Research has released its Statement of Aspirational Practice for Institutional Research. The statement focuses on developing an expanded definition of “decision-makers” (including students, faculty, and staff), provides a description of the structures and leadership needed for effective institutional research, and stresses the importance of grounding IR work from a “student-focused perspective.”

I am curious how this document resonates with IR practitioners here. Thoughts?
